SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Tenant groups joined together in protest to drop a 21-foot banner from the home of Iris Canada, a 100-year-old woman facing eviction. However, a tenant fought to tear down the banner, cutting it in half and even throwing it off of the roof.

Canada has been fighting to stay in her home of more than 50 years in the Western Addition neighborhood.

Last month, a San Francisco judge sided with building owners, in favor of eviction, after finding Canada had failed to pay court-ordered attorney's fees.
