U.S. automakers recalling cars due to risk of airbag rupture
Federal safety regulators said you should get your airbags replaced immediately if your car is has been recalled.

On Monday, federal safety regulators said you should get your airbags replaced immediately if your car is has been recalled.

The warning was issued by NHTSA-- the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

In high humidity, the airbags' inflators can rupture in a crash, causing metal fragments to fly out.

Honda, Toyota, Nissan, Mazda, G.M., Ford, Chrysler, BMW, and Mitsubishi have all issued recalls for a total of 4.7 million vehicles.
