Homeless encampment being cleared in San Jose

SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- Caltrans has begun clearing a homeless encampment along I-280 in San Jose set-up near McLaughlin Avenue.

The crew will clean up litter, clear away brush and repair a damaged fence that was cut open.

Work will be slowed because the recent storms left the area muddy, but it should be finished by the end of the week.
