HEALDSBURG, Calif. -- Healdsburg police arrested a Sonoma man Sunday on suspicion of sexual abuse of a child under age 14.

Police received a report on Aug. 27 about suspicious behavior between an older man and two boys ages 11 and 12.

A witness heard inappropriate language and saw the male touching the boys in the hot tub and shower area in the locker room of the Parkpoint Health Club at 195 Foss Creek Circle in Healdsburg, police said.

Police investigated and determined Paul Dwayne Kilgore, 68, served as a mentor and regularly took pre-teen and teen boys on outings to local recreation areas and overnight trips.

Kilgore is suspected of committing lewd acts against some of the minors, police said. Officers served a search warrant at his Sonoma home Sunday and arrested him on suspicion of lewd and lascivious acts with child under age 14 and sexual abuse of a child.

Kilgore was arraigned this afternoon in Sonoma County Superior Court. His next court date is Oct. 4.
