SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- ABC7 News Reporter David Louie represented the station and Disney at a ceremony to present a $15,000 check to the Second Harvest Food Bank in San Jose Monday.
The food bank needs help especially during the holiday season, when there is a surge in demand.
All types of families come to the food bank.
"A check of $15,000 which is incredible will help us serve 30,000 meals. For every $1 that is donated to our food banks, we are able to turn that into two meals. So, that $15,000 will help families this season, and it's incredibly important because this month we will serve 257,000 individuals," Cat Cvengros with Second Harvest Food Bank said.
There are 5,000 collection barrels in Santa Clara and San Mateo where you can make a donation.
