Bear beats the heat at Oregon Zoo

PORTLAND, Ore. -- A black bear found a cute way to beat the heat this weekend at the Oregon Zoo.

Temperatures rose above 100 this weekend in Portland, Oregon. Zoo goers watched the bear splash around and lap up some of the water in the tub.

There are 1,800 animals representing 232 species or subspecies of birds, mammals, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates at the Oregon Zoo, according to the zoo's website.

Another popular bear at the Oregon Zoo, Nora, was featured in a Facebook video of ours on International Polar Bear Day back in February.
