Giants put OF Duggar, P Anderson on 10-day IL

The San Francisco Giants put outfielder Steven Duggar and pitcher Shaun Anderson on the 10-day injured list and called up Joey Rickard and Sam Selman from Triple-A Sacramento to take their place on Thursday night.

Duggar suffered a left shoulder sprain while making a remarkable diving catch Wednesday that forced him to leave the game against the Nationals in the fourth inning.

Anderson has been sidelined by a blister on the middle finger of his pitching hand. He has gone 3-4 with a 5.33 ERA in 16 starts fo San Francisco this season.

The Giants picked Rickard, 28, off waivers from the Baltimore Orioles in June. Selman returns to the bigs after being sent down on Tuesday.'s He pitched four innings of relief for San Franciso this month.
