SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- San Francisco Giants co-owner Charles Johnson is asking a controversial Senate candidate from Mississippi to return his campaign contribution.

Johnson and his wife each donated $2,700 to Cindy Hyde-Smith. She won her seat back as of Tuesday night.

Hyde-Smith has made several statements many have viewed as racist.

News of the Johnsons' donations has drawn backlash, including calls for people to boycott the Giants.
