These are the droid costumes that you've been looking for.

Corrine Kurtz of Commerce City, Colo., spent the last three-and-a-half weeks crafting elaborate Star Wars themed costumes for her 5-year-old sons Derek and Jason. The twins will go as C-3PO and R2-D2, respectively, the lovable droids who've appeared in each installment of the iconic film series.

"I let them come up with costume ideas each year and I'll let them know if I can make it," Kurtz told ABC News. "When they told me they wanted to be C-3PO and R2-D2, I originally said 'No, I cant do that. That's crazy' and then I looked at them and said 'You know, I'll make it happen. I'll make it work.'"

The mom says she built Jason's R2-D2 costume from a trash can, while adding foam and lid handles so he can rotate the head around himself, just as the droid does in the films. Derek's C-3PO costume was crafted from diamond sheet metal and plastic, and LED lights were added to both costumes which Kurtz's husband controls with his Fitbit watch and iPhone.

"We had taken them on Saturday to some local events and people went crazy," Kurtz told ABC News. "I think maybe it's because of the 'Star Wars' movie coming out."

The mom says that she's been designing costumes every year for the boys ever since they were two years old, using household items and craft supplies to concoct their homemade Halloween wardrobe. Last year, the boys dressed up as Mario and Luigi from the popular video game series, riding Yoshi the turtle. The boys wound up winning six contests for their high score-worthy costumes.

But the boys' C-3PO and R2-D2 costumes already priming up to be a big hit this year.

"[The boys] love it," Kurtz said. "They've been turning on the TV every chance they get to try and watch themselves. I didn't think they'd make this much of a buzz, but it did."
