Suspect detained after foot chase near Oracle Arena, brief closure of I-880

OAKLAND, Calif. (KGO) -- Oakland police have detained a suspect after a foot chase outside of Oracle Arena.

Police say the man ran from a solo vehicle spinout on I-880 onto Coliseum property. An airsoft pistol was located, according to authorities.

Both directions of I-880 and 66th Avenue were closed for the investigation, but have since reopened.
