Suspicious package near Google building deemed 'not dangerous'
Mountain View police say an investigation revealed that the package is not dangerous, but the bomb squad is still responding out of caution.

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. -- A suspicious package found at a Google building Friday morning has been examined and rendered safe, Mountain View police said.

The package was not blown up, but examined by the Santa Clara County bomb squad, police said.

The building in the 2000 block of Casey Avenue was evacuated mid-morning after the package was found. Employees have been allowed back into the building, a police spokesperson said about 11:45 a.m.
