TMZ reports Tom Petty taken off life support after being found unconscious
TMZ is reporting that iconic rocker Tom Petty has been taken off life support after he was found unconscious in full cardiac arrest Sunday night.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (KGO) -- TMZ is reporting that iconic rocker Tom Petty has been taken off life support after he was found unconscious in full cardiac arrest Sunday night.



He was taken to UCLA Medical Center in Santa Monica.



Sources tell TMZ that at 10:30 a.m. Monday, a chaplain was called to Tom's hospital room and that the family has a do not resuscitate order. The singer is not expected to live throughout the day, but he's still clinging to life, TMZ says.



The 66-year-old became famous with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers in 1978 with "Breakdown.".
