VIRAL VIDEO: Man saves dog from raccoon attack

The co-founder of Digg took on a wild animal that attacked his dog over the weekend.

Entrepreneur Kevin Rose was at home when he heard his dog Toaster yelping in pain. He ran outside to find his beloved pooch in fight with a raccoon.

The whole incident was caught on surveillance video.

Rose says he doesn't condone violence against animals but when he saw the fight, he had to intervene. He says he wasn't thinking when he picked up the raccoon and threw it, just that he wanted to protect his dog.

Toaster suffered some scratches and bite marks. No word on what happened to the raccoon.
