A couple on vacation in Papua New Guinea captured an incredible force of nature on video recently when their camera was rolling as Mount Tavurvur erupted.

In addition the the powerful explosion that sent a plume of ash and smoke into the atmosphere on August 29, the video also captured the shock wave that quickly followed.

"Watch out for the shock; it's coming," Phil McNamara can be heard saying mounts before the echoing boom shakes the picture.

Mount Tavurvur is considered to be a daily active volcano and continued to erupt for several days following the initial explosion.
