Crews stop progression of grass fire in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD, Calif. (KGO) -- Firefighters stopped the progression of a 3-alarm grass fire near I-80 in Fairfield.

Officials briefly evacuated a mobile home park at Martin Rd. and Goya Drive as they battled the blaze, but those residents have been allowed to return home.

This blaze was about five miles from Friday's large brush fire that evacuated people from their homes.

It's not clear what sparked this fire.
