This is the time to get ready for an atmospheric river coming in Wednesday. The focus of the storm will be in the North Bay initially and that's where the heaviest rain is coming, so a Flood Watch Warning will go up from 4 a.m. Wednesday to 4 a.m. Friday. Flooding is possible on roads, streams and creeks. The Level 2 storm will bring light to moderate rain to other parts of the Bay Area.
The storm is prompting a a Winter Storm Warning for the Sierra. It starts tomorrow afternoon and stays up through Wednesday night. High clouds will continue to stream in overnight, but they will not prevent the temperatures from dropping.

A Freeze Warning will be up for the North Bay and a Frost Advisory for parts of the South and East Bay from midnight tonight to 8 a.m. tomorrow.
Temperatures down to the low 30s under the warning and low to mid 30s under the advisory. Frost and freeze will damage sensitive vegetation and pipes so take precautions to protect them and don't forget about your pets.

The highest impacts from the storm will continue in the North Bay Thursday. The unsettled pattern continues Friday through the weekend so keep the umbrellas handy.
