Former WWE champion surprises burglary suspects ransacking his home

PHOENIX, Ariz. -- A couple of burglary suspects were caught in the act as the homeowner pulled up to his home. But that was just the beginning of their trouble. That's because the homeowner is a former WWE champion.

Officials say Bryan Danielson, better known in the ring as "Daniel Bryan," drove up as the suspects were ransacking his home Thursday night. Then when they tried to run away, he chased them down.

Danielson's wife "Brie Bella" is a wrestler as well.

The two, obviously, are not afraid of confrontation.

"I was very angry, Brie was very angry," Danielson said. "They're actually lucky. I got them instead of Brie because she probably would have been a little more violent."

Danielson only caught one of the suspects and kept him in a chokehold until police arrived.

Both wrestlers say they were most concerned for their pet bulldog "Josie" who was just fine.
