The family of a San Francisco teacher missing since July 17 is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to his return.

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The family of a missing San Francisco teacher is offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to his return.

UPDATE: Body of San Francisco missing teacher believed to be found

Ed Cavanaugh was last seen July 17 riding a motorcycle with a friend in the El Dorado National Forest.

Cavanaugh's family says he's a "survivalist" but they're worried because he has diabetes and needs medication.

Cavanaugh teaches at Downtown High School, a continuation school in San Francisco.
