SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- The Sierra LaMar kidnapping case had a deep impact on the Morgan Hill community that reached beyond just the families.
Inside the courtroom Tuesday were those who have been searching tirelessly for sierra's body for the past five years, and people who were simply touched by this case.

"Quite candidly it was a combination of thrill and relief. It was overjoy," volunteer searcher Roger Nelson said.
"Being a dad myself, and feeling all of those emotions come out in you just hope the jury comes to the right conclusion, which I believe they did," Todd Courtney said.

There is going to be another search for sierra's body Wednesday. The volunteer searchers in this case have not given up hope of finding her body.
