18-year-old high school senior Ryan Raimondi runs for mayor of Brentwood

BRENTWOOD, Calif. -- Ryan Raimondi may seem like your average high school senior at first. He's involved in sports, active in student leadership, and busy with friends, but there is something on his to-do list that makes him stand out from other 18-year-olds. He is running for mayor of Brentwood, California.

He decided a few months ago at a YMCA Youth & Government conference that he was going to run for office. His friends, teachers, and family were not surprised when they heard the news. They believe Ryan's drive, motivation, and work ethic make him the ideal candidate for the position. Ryan wants to bring a fresh face to politics.
