Search underway in SF Bay for missing sailor

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- A search is underway in the San Francisco Bay for a missing sailor.

The Coast Guard says a man wearing a yellow jacket was spotted around 6 a.m. Thursday on a boat.

When officials returned nearly two hours later, around 7:45 a.m., the boat was still floating near Alcatraz but the man was gone.

At least two U.S. Coast Guard ships are currently searching for the man.
