Authorities say the driver went the wrong way on interstate 880, before getting off at Davis Street in San Leandro.
The chase continued into a residential neighborhood, and the driver narrowly missed hitting several cars in different intersections.

He then turned and drove next to the railroad tracks that run along San Leandro Boulevard, under the BART tracks.

He stopped and appeared to reverse a short distance before continuing forward, turning around and driving toward officers who had gotten out of their cars with guns drawn.
The driver then reverses into a pick-up and another car, drives toward officers again and then reverses, driving into some bushes near another set of railroad tracks.
The driver then gets out of the truck and runs along the tracks.

He ended up a short distance away at San Leandro Mazda where he appeared to run into one of their buildings.
People came out of the dealership and pointed officers to where they had last seen the suspect.
Nearly an hour later, officers walked out with the man in handcuffs.
A BART spokesperson tells us BART police assisted Oakland Police during the pursuit.
