Teach your kids about bugs

About the Insect Discovery Lab:
Insect Discovery Lab is the most successful educational outreach program nationwide, teaching and impacting over 100,000 children since 1999 with our little green BugMobile. We teach about the ecological importance of local and tropical arthropods by bringing live, exotic insects into the classroom for a unique, hands-on experience. During the 2007-08 school year, nearly 22,000 PreK-6th, middle, and high school students met our millipedes, beetles, roaches, and others and learned about their endangered habitats.

As an outreach program of SaveNature.org, we are committed to raising awareness of the importance of environmental conservation across the United States and around the world. One of our goals is to nurture environmental literacy-to create a population of young people whose approach to their environment reflects responsibility, leadership, stewardship, commitment, and joy for the natural world. We are excited to help lead the next generation of environmental heroes!

Bowlers Do It For The Birds and the Bees
Bowl-the-Planet & Silent Auction
Beetles, butterflies and bowling? Sounds like and odd mix, but they merge in a sparkling way at Bowl-the-Planet, on Saturday, March 15, from 5-8 p.m.

The annual fundraiser, sponsored by SaveNature.org, is a perfect event for families who love to explore unique ways to play together while helping protect rainforest and coral reef habitats. At 5 p.m., the lights dim, mirror balls spin, and the music rocks for Cosmic Glow Bowling. Bumper bowling, prizes for kids and pizza. All included with the $35 registration fee. Participants who raise $75 in pledges also receive a free Bowl-the-Planet t-shirt.

Call (415) 648-3392 to reserve a lane OR go to www.savenature.org and click on Bowl the Planet to pledge or register to bowl.
