Twenty-eight-year-old Michael Shanahan and 26-year-old Daniela Shanahan were both taken into custody Monday after Solano County prosecutors filed felony child endangerment charges against them.
Investigators say the Shanahan's 2-year-old daughter, Ayana, was killed Sept. 23 when their 8-year-old son accidentally fired a handgun.
Daniela Shanahan was also charged with being a previously convicted felon with firearms and ammunition in her home.
Solano County Deputy District Attorney Jeff Kauffman says the parents are facing up 13 years in state prison if convicted.
