Toledo looks to sell, lease parking garages

The Port Authority has expressed interest in buying the city-owned parking garages and metered parking. According to the spokesperson, the Port Authority is not yet involved in the process.

The city of Toledo owns three parking garages downtown -- Vistula, Superior, and Port Lawrence. On Tuesday, city council voted unanimously to take the first step in exploring the sale of those assets.

Council voted to spend $15,000 to hire a financial advisor from Fifth Third Bank to analyze the pros and cons of selling or leasing all three city-owned garages and metered parking.
