The measure expands the exceptions to restrictions contained in a new state law that took effect earlier this year. The changes would allow those with Level 2 licenses to drive to school-sanctioned programs, church functions and some other extracurricular events.
That would add to current exceptions allowing teens to drive to work during those hours.
The graduated license program increases privileges as young drivers advance and ends when they turn 18.
