Itzcoatl Ocampo, 23, faces six felony counts of murder in the first degree in what prosecutors call a serial thrill killing spree.
The indictment means a preliminary hearing will not be held and the case will go directly to trial. The former Marine is expected to be arraigned Tuesday.
Ocampo is eligible for the death penalty, but prosecutors have not decided whether to seek it.
