PITTSBURG, Calif. -- BART service between Concord and Pittsburg/Bay Point is running on time this morning following delays caused by an equipment problem on the tracks, officials said. A two-ton crew truck derailed. The cause is under investigation.

BART officials announced major delays between Pittsburg/Bay Point and Pleasant Hill in the Pittsburg/Bay Point, SFO and Millbrae directions due to the equipment problem at about 6:30 a.m.

Normal service had resumed by about 8 a.m., BART officials said.
