SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- It's taken over a year and a half, but BART is finally replacing the last of its wool seats.

The final wool seat will be taken out today at BART's Richmond shop. BART began replacing the wool in March 2012 after surveys showed riders preferred vinyl seats. All 669 cars in the BART fleet will now be complete with vinyl. The new seats also save BART money because they're supposed to be a lot easier to clean.
