SAN JOSE, Calif. (KGO) -- A Valley Transportation Authority bus caught fire Wednesday afternoon and caused several lanes to close on the southbound Capitol Expressway during rush hour, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Firefighters received a report at around 6:07 p.m. that flames were coming out of the rear of the bus.
CHP officers closed four lanes of the southbound Capital Expressway, a CHP officer said.
All passengers were able to get out of the bus safely and no injuries were reported.
