Crews rescue person from side of cliff at Thornton State Beach in Daly City

DALY CITY, Calif. (KGO) -- Fire crews along with the California Highway Patrol were able to rescue a person who was stuck on the side of a cliff at Thornton State Beach in Daly City on Friday.

It's not clear what happened, but we saw someone rappel down and reach the victim about ten minutes ago.

The rescuer appeared to put some safety gear around the person and attach it to the rope.
