Officer in Daly City exchanges gunfire after getting dragged by suspect car

DALY CITY, Calif. (KGO) -- Police are looking for a suspect who tried to run over a Daly City police officer.

The incident occurred at Crocker Avenue and Brunswick Street just after 9 p.m. when a gang task force unit officer tried to pull over a suspect. Police say the man then hit the officer and dragged him with his car.

At that point, the suspect and officer exchanged gunfire but no one was hit.

The officer who was dragged was examined at the scene, but was not seriously injured.
