'Batkid' to make his big screen debut

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The Bay Area filmmakers behind the "Batkid" documentary have exceeded their $100,000 goal to make the movie.

The film looks at the life of 5-year-old Miles Scott and his battle with leukemia and the push to turn San Francisco into Gotham City for a day.

The filmmakers have already raised more than 108,000 by crowdfunding.

They hope to launch the film in November, the anniversary of when San Francisco made Batkid's wish come true.
