PHILADELPHIA -- A young girl from Philadelphia is recovering Saturday from a double lung transplant she had been waiting for, for years.
Patience Lee Maldonado-Gilchrist, better known as "Coco", has pulmonary fibrosis.
On Christmas Eve, she finally received her transplant at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Her family says Coco is already doing better than expected.
They say she opened her eyes, and tried talking to her grandmother.
The post on their GoFundMe page also thanks everyone for their prayers and love.
