Kids get special screening of 'McFarland, USA' movie

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Dozens of kids got to hang out with San Francisco police officers Saturday during a special screening of the new Disney movie "McFarland, USA".

It's a true story about a 1987 championship high school cross-country team from the economically challenged Central California town of McFarland. Actor Kevin Costner stars as the team's coach.

ABC7 partnered with the Police Activities League, known as PAL, and our parent company Disney, to help bring the city's youth and law enforcement together.
