Fatal accident cleared from Hwy 1 near Devil's Slide

PACIFICA, Calif -- All lanes of state Highway 1 have been reopened as of 6:32 a.m. in Pacifica this morning after fatal crash, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The CHP issued a Sig-alert at 4:16 a.m for both directions on Highway 1 near Devil's Slide Trail due to a pedestrian being struck and killed in the roadway.

According to the CHP, the crash occurred around 3:26 a.m. and involved one vehicle that allegedly drove away, and another alleged involved that stayed until investigators arrived.
