San Jose police investigate fatal stabbing

SAN JOSE, Calif. -- Police are investigating a Monday night homicide in San Jose.

Officers responded at 9:56 p.m. to the area of Story and Senter roads to a report of a person down.

San Jose Fire Department personnel arrived on the scene and located a man suffering from a stab wound.

The man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The circumstances and motive surrounding the homicide were unknown Monday night, police said.

Police have not identified or apprehended a suspect or suspects in the death.

The identity of the victim will not be released until the coroner's office has confirmed the victim's identity and notified his family, police said.
