Study: Fatal teen driving accidents cut in half over last decade
A new study shows fatal crashes for teens have been cut in half over the last decade.

A new study shows fatal crashes for teens have been cut in half over the last decade.

The study also shows teenagers are still 1.6 times more likely to be involved in a deadly crash compared to adults. The study was done in a 10 year period from 2005 to 2014. But since the study was finished, we've started to see fatal accidents among teens on the rise for the first time since 2006.

The study shows 19-year-olds as the age most likely to suffer a fatal crash, then 20-year-olds, then 18-year-olds. Females are more likely to wear those seatbelts, but also more likely to be distracted leading up to a deadly crash.
