SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- February 15 marks two months until April 15, but that's not this year's tax deadline.

Taxes are due on April 18 because a holiday in Washington falls on the 15th.

The IRS expects 150 million tax returns this year and 70-percent of filings should see money returned.

Last year, the average refund was $2,800.

The fastest way to get money back is to file through e-file and to opt for direct deposit.

The IRS expects most refunds to be issued in less than 21 days.
