Free app helps you prepare for major disaster
When a disaster strikes, we are reminded of the things we need to do to prepare. A free app aims to help by making it easy for you to track everything you own.

During disasters we are often reminded of the things we should do to prepare just in case.

One of the most important things anyone of us can do is to make a list of everything we own and there are many apps out there that make this an easy task.

Robin Endres has worked for the non profit United Policyholders, but even she hasn't taken time to list her belongings. "We have not inventoried, so I'm actually really concerned if we did have a fire. I've accumulated a lot of things in my house over the years. Some of the things are collectors, a lot of things are one of kind, very unique," she said.

Endres tried out a free app made available by United Policyholders and she likes it. "It's very easy to use, it takes you through the steps," she said.

You simply select which room you are in, take pictures of items, make notes and hit save. Then, it's stored in the cloud. "So that God forbid you have a loss, you've got this record and at least that's one less thing you have to worry about," United Policyholders Executive Director Amy Bach said.
