Petaluma man arrested for sex acts with minor he met on Grindr

PETALUMA, Calif. (KGO) -- A Petaluma man was arrested Wednesday after a month of investigation by police. He was taken in for a series of illicit sexual acts with a minor.

Police say Alexander Battaglia met a 15-year-old on the mainly gay dating app Grindr and met to have sex at least three times. Officials say Battaglia knew the victim was under 18.

The suspect told police he contacted other minors through Grindr and exchanged sexually explicit photos with them.

Police believe there may be more victims and anyone who has information can contact them at 707-778-4444.
