EMERYVILLE, Calif. (KGO) -- Jamba Juice of Emeryville is going on a hiring spree.
The fruit juice company announced it is hiring 3,000 young people for the summer.
Jamba Juice held some job interviews at Treasure Island on Wednesday, but the real event will be held on Thursday.
Dozens of stores across the Bay Area will be interviewing potential employees.
"We've been focused on creating jobs for young people, which have been hit the hardest coming through the recession. We think Jamba offers both a career opportunity, but at the minimum a great first job," Jamba Juice CEO James White said.
This is the third year that Jamba Juice has held its National Hiring Day.
All Jamba Juice stores will be accepting applications on Thursday, but only a few will be holding job interviews.
