Siblings who stopped man from kidnapping brother speak out

Sprague, Wash. -- "He said he's nice to kids, and he'd been babysitting for a long time."

Two Washington siblings were not fooled by a man who approached them and their 22-month-old brother Owen and claimed to mean no harm.

"He lied to me," 8-year-old Delicia Wright told "Good Morning America" in an exclusive interview..

The horrifying moments when the man ran off with Owen in his arms were caught on the surveillance footage of a nearby grocery store, as was the heroic reaction of Owens' big brother and sister.

"I thought he was trying to kidnap him," Delicia said.

"So what'd you do?" she was asked.

"I ran. And screamed," she replied.

The man tried to get away with Owen while Delicia and 10-year-old Brenden pursued him.

Their father, Michael Wright, said his children are heroes, and he's thankful they're all OK.

"For my kids to sit there and run after them, you know, that's an act of courage," he said.

The would-be kidnapper dropped the toddler after two teenagers heard the screams and also started pursuing him.

Brenden said he was not afraid to be chasing a bad guy. He had his mind set on getting his little brother back.

"I was chasing him because -- so I can get him back for my cousin's birthday party," he said.

The suspect remains at-large, and police are asking anyone with information to call the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office.
