San Francisco-based 'MythBusters' to end after 14 seasons

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- The longest-running Discovery Channel show "MythBusters" will stage its final experiment next season.

The San Francisco-based reality show will say goodbye after 14 seasons and nearly 3,000 experiments.

You may remember in 2011, stars Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman conducted a cannonball stunt during a taping of the show in Dublin.

That stunt went awry when a cannonball missed its target and ripped through a home.

The duo says they knew the show's end was coming all year.
