This weekend is a no text weekend, a movement to get people to focus on reconnecting and conversation.

One group is aiming to change that at least for a few days by launching No Text Weekend.

"No text weekend begins with a personal challenge to just try to talk instead of text. "We encourage you to call your friends. Call your family," said Chris Farber.

Co-creators Jen Jamula and Allison Goldberg say while texting is magical people are doing it too often and using it for conversations we should be having in person.

"You can text emotional information, but you don't know how it's landing with the other person, 90 percent of communication is nonverbal," said psychiatrist Dr. Janet Taylor.

So this weekend is all about reclaiming conversations and connecting with one another with your voice not your screen.
