AMBER Alert cancelled for 11-month-old boy abducted in SF
An AMBER Alert has been cancelled after police found an 11-month-old boy named William Brown who was allegedly abducted by his grandmother in San Francisco.

SAN FRANCISCO -- A missing 11-month-old boy who was abducted in San Francisco on Wednesday night was found safe and his grandmother was taken into custody this afternoon, according to the San Francisco District Attorney's Office.

The boy, William Brown, was located after a citizen who had seen an Amber Alert about the case reported seeing him and the suspect at a liquor store in San Mateo, according to Max Szabo, a spokesman for the district attorney's office.

Redwood City police located and detained his grandmother, Phoebe Haynes, 44, at a Big Lots store on Broadway Street in Redwood City.

The boy was cleared by medical personnel at the scene and Haynes has been taken into custody and is being returned to San Francisco.

An Amber Alert was issued Thursday morning that included Haynes' vehicle description and her car's license plate number.
