Barge used by BART sinks into San Francisco Bay, no damage to Transbay tube

SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) -- Underneath the waters of the San Francisco Bay lies a barge which capsized and sank Thursday night during the storm.

The barge, known as Vengeance is used by BART for maintenance on the Transbay tube.

BART says the tube was not damaged by the sinking ship, but there is a risk that diesel fuel from the barge could leak into the bay.
