Concord minister accused of sexually assaulting young girl

MARTINEZ, Calif. (KGO) -- Martinez police have arrested a minister they believe sexually assaulted a young girl over the past three years.

Police have arrested 32-year-old Fernando Maldonado of Concord on sex assault charges.

Maldonado served at both the Morello Baptist Church in Martinez and Grace Baptist Church in Pleasant Hill.

He was booked into the Contra Costa County Jail and his bail has been set at $725,000.
