Firefighters clear scene of vegetation fire in San Jose

SAN JOSE (KGO) -- Firefighters in San Jose have cleared the scene of a vegetation fire that broke out near Story and Senter Road overnight

It sparked at a homeless encampment, then spread nearly an acre before fire crews knocked it down.

Santa Clara County sheriff's deputies were on scene to help if needed. There is no word yet on a cause.
