San Jose firefighters rescue horses on Hwy 85

SAN JOSE (KGO) -- San Jose firefighters faced an unusual challenge this morning after an accident involving a trailer with three horses on board.

The accident happened on Highway 85 near Cottle Road in South San Jose. One horse was reportedly pinned against the wall, had a gash above its left eye and injured its rear left leg. The accident took out about 1,000 feet of guard rail and a street light.

So far there is no word what caused the accident.
